My name is Balkrishna Sadekar. I am the editor and founder of Profitable Candlestick Charting. I am a member of Technical Securities Analysts Association (Tsaasf.org), which is one of the leading authorities for technical analysis in the United States. I am also the author of the book ‘How To Make Money Trading With Candlestick Charts', a candlestick application book for the Indian market and 'How To Make Money Trading The Ichimoku system', an Ichimoku trading guide for Indian markets.

My involvement with the stock market began over a decade ago prior to the 90’s market boom and subsequent bust. Just like most investors out there, I have sold at the bottom and bought at the tops. Finally, after suffering losses and not understanding why stocks move the way they do, I was fortunate to be introduced to Candlestick charting by a fellow trader. Thus began an incredibly educational and profitable journey into the world of Candlesticks.

Today, 15 years down the Candlestick road, I truly believe every investor and trader should be knowledgeable about this charting technique and the fundamentals that support it. It is by no means the ‘Holy Grail’ every investor is looking for, but it is very effective. Proper application of the candlestick signals and patterns can lead to a highly satisfying and profitable investing experience.
